How We Met
We connected in early 2021, and from the very beginning, it felt easy – effortless conversation, shared interests, and a mutual appreciation for a truly bad joke made it clear a first date was in the cards.
Blending Charles’ love of history with Ashley’s love of the outdoors, we met at York Redoubt with a coffee and tea in hand, ready to explore the trails along the water. Just a few minutes after arriving, Charles suggested we sit on a bench – not unlike the one pictured below over looking the water, to enjoy our drinks before heading onto the trails.
What was meant to be a quick stop turned into four hours of laughter, meaningful conversation, and sharing stories. Ashley did her best (and failed) to impress Charles with her helicopter knowledge as they flew overhead — a moment that still makes us laugh.
By the time we finally stood up from that bench, we both knew there was something special there. We did eventually make it onto the trails… and into our next date.
The rest, as they say, is history – and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter of our story with all of you.

Your presence at our Wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. However, if you wish to honor us with a gift,
we have created a small registry for your convenience.

FAQ’s
- Child Free: While we absolutely adore your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives you the chance to relax and enjoy a night out with us!
- Plus ones: Due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate those guests whose names are listed on the invitation. Thank you so much for your understanding!
- Room Booking: Rooms and cabins are available on-site at a discounted group rate. Please note that these rates are only available until August, so be sure to book early to take advantage of the savings!
- Arrival Time: Our ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM on the sundeck. We kindly ask guests to arrive by 3:30 PM to allow time to be seated before it begins.
- Food Restrictions: If you have any food allergies, sensitivities, or dietary restrictions that may not be accommodated by our pre-set menu, please let us know: we’ll do our best to arrange an option for you.
- Bar & Drink options: There will be a cash bar available during the reception, along with a wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages for everyone to enjoy.
- Dress Code: Dress code is dressy/smart casual. We’re going for a polished, put-together look: think nice dresses, button-downs, and elevated outfits.
